Business Improvement Manager
Main function:
- Lead the Business Improvement function, defining and improving the processes within the business, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
- Delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across all functions.
- Foster a culture of sustainable change through the embedding of a lean methodology.
- Analyse, maintain and improve organisational performance.
- Analyse current practices and develop business process improvements.
- Ensure departments are working on the correct projects, in line with the company strategy to maximise investment.
Main responsibilities and accountabilities:
Business Improvement
- Analyse company processes and procedures to develop process enhancement strategies.
- Establish standards of company processes and performance.
- Monitor performance and organisational processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance productivity.
- Communicate with other members of management on improvement activities and strategies.
- Training and mentoring team members in business improvement techniques.
- Stay up to date with developments in management and process optimisation.
- Champion development of processes with emphasis on lean thinking and technology to streamline activity and improve efficiencies.
- Build a continuous improvement environment to support an ongoing programme of change.
- Identify trends and process variations as part of a continuous improvement system.
- Lead and facilitate Lean/Process Improvement based workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
General
- To implement Company policies and ensure consistency and fairness within the organisation.
- To adhere to Health and Safety, IT and Quality measures in accordance with statutory and Company requirements.
- To actively develop through staff development and training activities and to review their own performance and the performance of those who are responsible to them.
- To develop effective working relationships internally and, where appropriate, with external customers/partners.
- To undertake any other duties consistent with the key responsibilities and/or duties of the post.
- Attend such training or instruction as may be deemed necessary by the company to enable you to work competently and safely.
