Production Supervisor

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced team leader to manage the Wire Production Team, to achieve quality targets and timely production of cable kits.

The role requires a self-starter, who has a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development of team members.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

• To put Safety first
• To take responsibility for the day to day running of the dept
• Ensuring that paperwork and computer records are accurate
• Contributing to recruitment as required
• Take part in Disciplinary action jointly with management when required
• Scheduling of work to make sure that customers’ demands are satisfied

Essential Criteria:

• GCSE Maths/English (A-C) OR equivalent qualifications
• Experience achieving results through people in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read & interpret technical drawings
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Proven approach in problem solving techniques
• Proven ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience in similar role would be an advantage
• A supervision or management qualification
• Experience operating, setting-up and programming production machines
• Understanding of Lean principles
